Hegewisch News anti-Waste Management shirt. Black logo on front featuring grim reaper image labeled “CID” and Waste Management looming over a group of houses. T-shirt was sold by the Hegewisch News during the summer of 1983. Readers who bought the shirt supported the campaign to prevent expansion of existing landfills and the establishment of new ones on the Southeast Side – particularly in the Hegewisch neighborhood.
